When we take an important decision it must be with cold eyed logic. For example if we have a stock that must either be sold or not. Say One bought a stock for $100 and its currently trading at $50. One may say “I can’t sell now while it’s down. I’ll lose Money.” To correctly analyze the situation, obviously one will not consider the purchase price. If one has sufficient reason to believe that it will trend up from $50 in the future, not only that but more so then other Issues that may be the alternative use of the Scarce Resource (money) counting transaction cost as well, then one would be wise to hang on to it. If the future prospect is pore relative to alternatives, Dump it!

 

Now I turn to weather to stay or leave the Sand Box. I hear often that if we cut and run , we “dishonor” the hero’s who have died in the struggle so far. While this is clearly true it is of no value to decision making.

The one thing we have as a Nation is our national reputation. It is orders of magnitude more valuable then all these other little things. (yah, I thick I’m a cold b##tard too.) If we Cut And Run, the whole world will know that OBL was rite. The US of A is nothing but a Paper Tiger. If we persevere, “nothing to fear but fear itself” and all that, We Will Win.

THE WORLD WILL KNOW WE ARE THE LION IN THE JUNGLE.

Foxtrot with U.S. and die.

THE VICE OF LAZY LEGISLATION

There’s a form of Vice, of lazy thinking which is mainly of the Left, not exclusively of course. It is to make a Law and then setback and think it is reality.

Need more money? Raise Taxes. Of course that’ll do it none of the Tax Payers will object, give up, quit, curtail more marginal activities, shift offshore, lie, cheat! No of course not just because the government is trying to take HALF their income. NOT.

Too many Innocent People getting shot? Make a Law. No guns for criminals. Yah! That’ll work. No mater that literally 10’s of thousands of good people must suffer for every criminal who will be prevented from walking into a store and buying a gun. Never mind that the Bad Guys will pretty much get all the guns they want any how. “We made a law.”

Global Warming? Out law it.

Homelessness? Give them all apartments. This may not be a good time to explain Scarce Resources.


Hell, in Ca they tried to make a Law requiring all dogs to be sterilized! Give me a brake. Skipping Property Rights for the moment, why waste money on the males?


Law is not Reality.

Treachery perfectly describes the act which will have occurred if we abandon our Allied in Iraq, and which occurred when we abandoned our Allies in South Vietnam.   It will be a Killing Field, and we CAN NOT say we don't know its' coming. We've "seen this movie before" as John McCain said today. Let us write a new ending.

Fraud in PSA's

According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation's Industry Intelligence Reports: (with thanks to  http://www.shootingwire.com/  ).

 

Accidental death rates for all deaths related to firearms run just over 2 a day for all of America, all 300 odd MILLION of us; about 1 percent of accidental Deaths of children ..

Conclusion: Guns are a tool used throughout the country 100s of times a day for good and occasionally for bad. We must encourage more of this!

So called PSA's claiming 10 "kids" a day killed by "guns" are nothing less then lies, based on all people killed w/ bullet trauma in the country who are younger then 19 years old,  many of whom were in the middle of committing a violent crime.

Just a stupid boy, kan't even spell but I know better then that!

I paraphrase ;).  What question, you may ask will this learned person settle.  Perhaps the origin of the Universe? black holes?  Energy produced in a U-235 disintegration? Capacitance?  Effect of Gamma rays on Humans?  NO!  She wants to prove the world trade 7 tower was imploded with explosives, and could not possibly fallen on its' own after burning for hours.

Now i'm just a stupid boy, can't even spell, but the field that comes to mind would be structural engineering.   Physics ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physics ) is a wide field, but not come on!

I happened to be listening today to http://www2.krla870.com/listen/  . After http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/ I cauwt http://www.dennismillerradio.com/ at 2000 CDT.

I realize i'm late to the game here.  The show is pritty good.  I confess to not caring for his TV show, just too slow, not enough content to actually watch.  Radio on the other hand is for driveing so the brain is ocupied just enough. Very cool, Big name good guests and all that.  Hopfully it cuts into Savages' clearence. I could use a lot less bile on the air.
